Dartford and Gravesham Business Awards 2010

After five successful years, these awards are now one of the most prestigious in the South East and celebrate the hard work and entrepreneurship of Dartford and Gravesham companies.

Company size is not relevant, only that your annual turnover must be below £5.6 million and you must be based in Dartford or Gravesham.

Awarding excellence, innovation and best practice, you are invited to enter your business as a contender for the Dartford and Gravesham Business Awards 2010.

Winners 2009

Prizes to the value of £5,000 were awarded to the successful businesses in a spectacular gala evening which took place at the Acacia Hall Ballroom in Dartford. Leader of Dartford Borough Council, Cllr Jeremy Kite attended and presented the awards with the Leader of Gravesham Borough Council.

The photograph above shows last year’s overall winner for the Dartford and Gravesham Business Awards 2009 as Construction and Civil Engineers, Livis Limited who are based in Dartford.

Photograph of Dimples Day Nursery staff with their award cheque.The Dartford Business of the Year Award for the second year running went to pre-school Dimples Day Nursery who is based in Green Street Green Road, Darenth.

The Gravesham Business of the Year Award was presented to specialists in renewable energy, Sprint Engineering and Lubricants Limited. An Environmental Award was presented to Broadditch Farm where six generations of family members manage their five hundred acre farm.

A special prize for Best Newcomer was presented to Blends for Friends Limited from Eynsford, a master tea blender who creates wonderful mixtures with varieties of tea leaves and herbs.

Highly commended awards were presented to: Amar Hall, Dakar Cars Limited, Glendale Creative and Marks Demolition Contractors Limited.

The remaining finalists were: Austen Allen, Clark Marshall Associates and DPS Print.

The evening raised over £3,000 for the EllenorLions Hospices Charity, with Livis Limited donating their winners' cheque.
