South East Economic Development Agency (SEEDA) work with their partners in the South East region (including Dartford Borough Council) to make it a world class region by achieving sustainable development and enhanced quality of life. The website provides an insight into the work and aims of SEEDA and as such provides a valuable background to Economic Development within Dartford.

Government Office for the South East (GOSE) works to develop government programmes and initiatives at a regional and local level, by working in partnership with relevant organisations, including Dartford Borough Council, to meet local needs. The site provides valuable business information.

Business Link is the national business advice service and has pertinent information on a range of issues, including funding and grants, employment related regulations and starting a business. There is also a site for the Kent division of Business Link.

Locate in Kent provide advice and assistance to companies that wish to move their business to Kent and Medway.

Burrows Businesss Guides are created by and intended for businesses including business support services and those involved in business development. They aim to outline the variety of opportunities and support services that the areas hold.

The Enterprise Agency for North Kent can help those who are thinking of setting up a business, and also provide assistance for established companies.

Communities and Local Government sets policy on local government, housing, urban regeneration, planning and fire and rescue. They have responsibility for all race equality and community cohesion related issues in England and for building regulations, fire safety and some housing issues in England and Wales. The rest of their work applies only to England.
