Going to the gym isn't for everyone, that's why Get Active is offering sessions in local community venues to make being active as easy and accessible as possible for local residents. All classes are suitable for beginners.

Zumba Aerobics

These fun and friendly classes aim to help you become active for life. Blending Zumba® and Aerobics together, these classes are for you if you want to improve your fitness, lose weight or tone your body.

parkrun

Dartford Borough Council has teamed up with parkrun to bring a new weekly running event to Central Park.

parkrun events take place in parks around the world and, in Dartford, take place every week in the beautiful surroundings of Central Park.

Dartford's parkrun takes place every Saturday at 9am. The 5km timed run is free to take part in and open to runners of all ages and abilities, from beginners to Olympians! Children aged 4-11 must run with a responsible adult.

Runners wishing to take part will need to register in advance at www.parkrun.org.uk/dartford and download a barcode so their run can be timed.

junior parkrun

Dartford's junior parkrun, for children aged 4-14, takes place every Sunday morning. 

Meet outside the Cafe in the Park at 8.30am for a 9am start. Children can run the 2km on their own or accompanied by an adult.
