Members allowances
Members' Allowance Scheme
The Council, in accordance with the Local Authorities (Members' Allowances) (England) Regulations 2003 produce a scheme of Allowances.
The scheme provides for a fixed basic allowance to be paid in equal amounts to every Member of the Council. Further sums are available to those Members holding positions of Special Responsibility as specified in the scheme. Both the Basic Allowance and Special Responsibility Allowances are eligible for pension if the Member wishes.
