Dartford is home to a wide variety of sports and boasts some of the best sporting facilities in the south east.

In recent years the Council opened two of the country's most significant new sports venues - an Olympic standard Judo Centre and an eco-friendly sustainable home for Dartford Football Club.

The Olympic training standard judo centre at Stone Lodge is a state-of-the-art centre - and one of the most impressive judo facilities outside Japan. The centre played a key role in the build up to both Beijing 2008 and London 2012.

The Princes Park Stadium has taken the town by storm since opening in November 2006. A capacity crowd of 4,097 saw the Darts return home after 14 years away and attendances stayed very high for the rest of their first season at home.
