Permit parking schemes operate in a number of streets around the Borough including:

  • Anne of Cleves Road
  • Priory Place
  • Kingsfield Terrace, Priory Road (South)
  • Westgate Road (West of Highfield Road)
  • Shepherds Lane (Opposite Boys Grammar School)
  • Lavinia Road
  • Gordon Road


  • Hillcrest Drive
  • Ivy Bower Close (Visitor Permits only)
  • Riverview Road
  • Ivy Villas
  • Castle Street
  • King Edward Road
  • Providence Street
  • Cotton Lane (Elizabeth Street)

There are a limited number of permit parking spaces for commuter vehicles in Station Road and Eagles Road for which Seasons Permits (Season Tickets) are available to purchase. There are also pay-and-display bays located in Steele Avenue.

    A proprietor may apply for one permit for one vehicle. The permit will display the registration of the vehicle it can be used for the parking bay it applies to, which typically is the business permit parking bay located closest to the business address
