Safe Dartford & Safe Gravesham

Dartford and Gravesham are safe places to live, work and socialise. Community Safety Units (CSU) have been created in both Boroughs under the banners of ‘Safe Dartford’ and ‘Safe Gravesham’. The CSUs are located within each Borough's Civic Centre where Police and Council staff work together.

We tackle anti-social behaviour in each Borough and work to improve the residents' quality of life by pulling together organisations involved in community safety and by working in partnership effectively.

Our Partnership

It is the job of the Dartford & Gravesham Community Safety Partnership (CSP) and its Community Safety Units to tackle anti-social behaviour, reduce crime and the fear of crime, the harm caused by drugs and alcohol and to deal with the concerns raised by our communities.

For more information regarding the Partnership, its members and our aims and objectives please visit: About the Partnership

Have Your Say

We are preparing to write the CSP's Community Safety Plan for 2011/12 and we would like to get your views on the priorities that have been identifed for the partnership to tackle over the coming year.

Please take a few moments to complete our short survey and have your say.

Digital Switchover - Tips for Avoiding Scams

The digital switchover could be an opportunity for scammers to take advantage, especially of the elderly and disabled, unless we all stay vigilant and informed.

Here are some basic tips to help you avoid being a victim of a switchover scam:-

- No one from Digital UK or Helpscheme will call unexpectedly without an appoinment.

 - If you're eligible for Helpscheme (see News below for details) you will be written to 3 times before your switchover date (nobody will call in person before then).

 - Demand identification from uninvited callers - and call the company to check they are who they say they are.

 - Don't agree to any work on the spot.  Take time to think about what work (if any) you want done.

 - Only buy goods and services you need for switchover from reputable retailers and traders that carry the digital tick logo.
