Safe Gravesham
The Gravesham Community Safety Unit is based in the Civic Centre of Gravesham Borough Council.
The Unit houses the Gravesham Borough Council Community Safety staff, alongside the North Kent Police Crime Reduction management team and links together the work of the Council's Community Safety, Anti Social Behaviour, Community Warden and CCTV teams with the Gravesham Neighbourhood Policing teams through:
- Daily briefings where incidents reported through the police and council systems are discussed and tasks allocated to police, council and other relevant agencies to tackle the problems identified.
- Monthly meetings where the Unit staff meet with representatives from a wider range of agencies, including the Kent Fire and Rescue Service, Probation, Private Landlords, Border Defence Agency, Kent Rural Wardens to problem solve more persistent issues.
