G-Safe
G-Safe is a partnership that operates between the police, council and local businesses, and is based upon:
- A radio link between businesses and the Council‘s CCTV control room
- Access to town centre police officers and the Crime Reduction Co-ordinator
- Information and intelligence sharing
- Exclusion Notice scheme
The objective and primary purpose of G-Safe is to reduce the fear of crime, prevent criminal activity, and aid the detection of crime in conjunction with the Police and other agencies. For further information go to the G-Safe website (opens in a new browser window).
