Dartford Heritage Open Days 11-14 September 2008
Residents had the opportunity to explore the heritage of some of Dartford’s most famous and intriguing sites in a special series of open days in September.
It was the third year the borough’s buildings and sites have been opened up to the public to celebrate the local heritage and this year included an exclusive opportunity to have a guided tour of the Mayor's Chamber in the Civic Centre.
Residents also had the chance to visit Hawley Manor Dovecote and Ice house.
The heritage days, ran from 11 to 14 September, featuring a range of the borough’s most exciting areas which include visits to Acacia Hall, tours of Manor Gatehouse and a walk through Swanscombe Heritage park.
Other buildings, walks and talks by specialists were also included in the events.
