Dartford Borough Residents’ Forum Nomination Pack

What do we do?

It is our aim to work in partnership with Dartford Borough Council and its partners/contractors to monitor the delivery of housing services to residents of Dartford Borough Council.

As a forum, we meet monthly and feedback on our work. We hold quarterly public meetings to feedback to residents on our progress and at times invite Officers of the Council and/or Contract Representatives to give a presentation to the meeting on potential changes.

What are the benefits to you?

You will help to drive forward housing service delivery and help to ensure that services are delivered in a way that you and borough wide residents want them to be delivered.

You will receive training to help you fully participate. This training will also help you develop a variety of skills which in turn will support you in your employment.

How much time do you need to give?

You can give as much or as little time as you want.

You will be expected to attend one evening meeting per month and for any portfolios you hold and will be invited to attend meetings either monthly or bi-monthly during the day.

How will you be elected?

Complete the attached nomination form and return it to the Resident Involvement Officer at the freepost address provided. You need to have two signatures of residents who support you in your role.

You will be contacted as soon as your information has been verified, at which point you will be notified if your nomination has been accepted and whether you will need to go to ballot at the AGM or are automatically elected.

A ballot will only take place if there is an over whelming amount of nominations, and outweighs the number of places available.
