our maintenance contractor - Breyer Group plc
More than 4,700 council tenants and leaseholders will benefit from our partnership contract between Dartford Council and newly appointed repairs and maintenance contractor Breyer Group plc.
The seven year, £28m deal, began on 1 April 2010 with Breyer delivering both reactive repairs and major improvement programmes. Impressing council officers, councillors and residents’ representatives from the Dartford Borough Residents’ Forum (DBRF) with evidence of excellent service delivery, high levels of customer satisfaction and a strong commitment to local communities, Breyer are looking to make their mark from the outset.
Breyer Group, founded in 1956, is based on the sound principles and traditions of a local family run organisation. It places great emphasis on people, continuous improvement and excellence across all aspects of their operations. Breyer has a strong commitment to communities with targets of 30% for local labour and supplies, as well as training and apprenticeship schemes for local residents. With carbon footprint targets and impressive plans for the future of its business including the use of LPG and Hybrid vehicles for staff, fares paid for public transport and subsidies for staff for those who want to buy a bike and cycle to their place of work Breyer also acknowledge their corporate responsibility to the environment.
