rough sleeper protocol triggered
Dartford Borough Council has triggered its Severe Weather Emergency Protocol for rough sleepers because the night time temperature is predicted to be zero degrees Celsius or below for at least the next three nights.
This means that any known people sleeping rough in the district at this time are offered emergency accommodation to minimise the risk of them dying outside during this cold weather.
If you know of anyone sleeping rough during this time then please contact the Council to ask that emergency accommodation is provided.
During office hours call 01322 343314 or email housingoptions@dartford.gov.uk
Out of office hours call 0845 634 1212
Once the minimum temperature is predicted to have risen above zero degrees Celsius, the protocol will no longer be in place. But, if you are worried at anytime about someone sleeping rough, visit our rough sleeper page for further advice. You can also find a copy of the protocol here.
