Tenant of the Year Award 2009
It's time to nominate our shining stars!
We’re calling on residents to nominate the shining stars in their area so that they can be recognised for their dedication, hard work and sense of community. For the second year running, we're hoping to bring to light the dedicated people who are working within their communities making things better for those around them. For the majority, these people are unpaid volunteers who give up their time to help make a difference.
For the winner a fabulous prize of a trip for 2 to Paris (with Eurostar) will be awarded in recognition of their commitment and hard work for the good of their community. The winner will also be nominated for the Southern Housing Connecting People Awards in spring 2010.
The closing date for this year’s nominations is 30 October 2009 and you can place your nomination using our online nomination form.For a paper copy please call 01322 343841 for one to be sent to you.
The winner will be someone who goes beyond their call of duty, giving up their spare time to make their community a place where people want to live. They could be involved in a residents/community group, fund raising, delivering community projects – the list is endless.
Nominees must:
- be a tenant of Dartford Borough Council
- have delivered real improvements to service delivery/their community or value for money
- have used innovative techniques and practices
- have developed communication between tenants and landlord or contractor
