Tenant Services Authority Update
In a letter to local authorities on the 20 October 2010, Grant Shapps the Housing Minister announced that the economic regulatory function of the Tenant Services Authority would be handed to the Homes and Communities Agency. This would be part of the process which would finally result in the abolition of the TSA. Despite this it is expected that the regulatory framework set up by the TSA will stay and the Council will still be obliged to work towards meeting its standards.
The TSA was first established in 2008 with the purpose of regulating social landlords to ensure excellent service delivery of all housing services. The TSA has established a regulation framework which sets out how it will regulate and the standards it expects from all social landlords.
Annual Report
In October 2010 the Council produced an annual report which sets out how Housing Services performs in relation to the TSA's regulatory framework.
