THE WHEATSHEAF - OUTCOME OF HEARING HELD 31 AUGUST 2005

The Licensing Sub-Committee returned the following decision:

Hours:

Sunday to Thursday 10am until 11-30pm with an additional 30 minutes drinking up time.
Friday and Saturday 10am until 00-30am with an additional 30 minutes drinking up time.

A further additional 30 minutes on Bank Holiday weekends, the Thursday into Friday at Easter, Christmas Eve and Boxing Day (but excluding Bank Holiday Mondays).
An additional 4 hours before normal opening hours on every 1 May (such as 5-30am to 9-30am) and those additional 4 hours must be specified to and confirmed by the Licencing Authority prior to each 1 May occasion.

Additional Conditions Imposed (Prevention of Public Nuisance):

1. There must be no recorded or amplified music played outside at any time.
2. No person is allowed to use the outside area after 23:20 and no alcohol should be supplied for consumption outside the premises after 23:00.
3. There must be no live music after 23:00.
4. The volume of recorded music must be reduced to the level of background/incidental music after 23:00.
5. Music played at the premises must not be audible at the nearest residential properties.
6. Recorded music (except for incidental/background music) must finish at the same time as the supply of alcohol.
7. Prominent, clear and legible notices (as agreed as being satisfactory by Council's Environmental Health Officer) must be displayed at all exits and in the car park requesting patrons to respect the needs of local residents and to leave the premises and the area quietly.

Additional Conditions Imposed (Prevention of Crime & Disorder):

1. No admission or re-admission is allowed into the premises after Midnight on Fridays and Saturdays.
2. All alcohol must be served in toughened glasses.
3. Bottles and glasses must not be removed from the licensed areas as indicated in the plans.
4. All bottles and glasses must be removed by staff from the public areas as soon as they are either finished or empty.
5. Drink promotions and other irresponsible drinking related promotions must not be permitted.
6. A person holding a personal licence must be on the premises during all times alcohol is being served or regulated entertainment is provided.
7. The garden area must not be used by the public after 23:20.
