Southern Regional Winner of the "Greenest Market Competition"
Dartford has a fantastic tradition of hosting markets and as well as holding
traditional weekly markets on Thursdays and Saturdays a number of speciality
markets including French, Italian and Farmers Markets are taking place
throughout the year.
Thursday and Saturday Markets

The Thursday Market
is held in the car park of the Priory Shopping Centre (next to Sainsburys). It has approximately 220 stalls and much of it is under a covered canopy.
There is a wide range of goods on sale including fressh fish and shellfish as well as several food and drink concessions for those who want some refreshment whilst shopping.
The Saturday Market
is held in Dartford High Street and is extremely popular with shoppers and traders.
It is smaller than the Thursday Market with about 100 stalls, but also sells a large selection of goods.
Typical items available at Dartford Markets:
- Food - fruit & greengrocery, frozen foods, fresh meat, fresh fish and shellfish, groceries, sweets
- Fashion - mens, ladies & childrens' clothes, sportswear, shoes, trainers, accessories
- Jewellery - gold, silver, costume jewellery, watches
- Home & Garden - garden plants, cut flowers, garden furniture, kitchenware, linen, curtains, electrical goods, computer hardware/software, carpets, cd's & tapes
- Refreshments - hot & cold drinks, sandwiches, rolls, cakes, burgers & oriental cuisine
The Market management team are members of the Dartford Town Against Crime (D-TAC) scheme, which is committed to making the retail environment a better and safer place to trade and shop. Further details about the scheme can be found on the CDRP Website.

Farmers' Markets
The Farmers' Markets provide the chance to buy local produce straight from the farmers, producers and growers. Shoppers are able to buy a range of fresh goods such as, pies, apple juice, cider, honey, cheesecake, soap, wines, jams, plants, fruits and vegetables.
The Farmers' Markets stand on Dartford High Street on the 3rd Friday of the month.
Italian Market
Date to be advised.
The High Street will be full of colourful stalls overflowing with fresh produce including breads, pastries, coffee, ice cream, cheeses, olives, olive oil, balsamic vinegar, fresh pasta, pizza, wine, cold meats and Sicilian delicacies.
French Market
Dates to be advised.
The High Street will once again be filled with the aromas of freshly cooked breads, crépes, cheeses, sausages and much more.
