Former Sports Awards winner Megan Edwards is encouraging people to nominate the borough’s sports stars as the closing date for entries looms. Megan, now 17, won last year’s Female under 16 sports performer after a fantastic display of performances on the athletics track in triple jump, heptathlon and 300m hurdles. The Leader of Dartford Borough Council has urged even more local families to spend Saturday afternoon supporting The Darts after fans at Princes Park were treated to a nine-goal cracker last weekend. More than 1,100 fans – the seventh consecutive home crowd to top a thousand – saw The Darts rattle SEVEN goals past a stunned Burgess Hill Town to provide the highest goal count in league football last Saturday.
