Still time to book for popular energy seminar

More than 60 residents have already booked their seat to get advice and tips on the best solutions for saving energy in the household. Dartford Borough Council is holding two seminars on Saturday 8 March for residents to find out more about sustainable energy resources and have extended the closing date for reservations to allow more residents the opportunity to attend. Council confirms that The Darts will manage Princes Park

Council helps Bowls Club with £25,000 membership drive funding

Stone Lodge Bowls Club is to receive a £25,000 cash injection to help boost membership and participation in indoor bowls.

The three year grant, announced by Dartford Borough Council today, will help the club sustain its long term future by encouraging new members to join and compete in the Kent Bowls League. (more…)

Kite says it will be the Council, not residents, who take the hit of cost cutting in drive to save £1m

Dartford Council Leader Jeremy Kite has said that he will not allow a poor Government grant settlement to divert his plans to provide new facilities for local people or abandon the services that local people want – like weekly bin collections. Instead, the Council will continue to find savings from within even it means some lean times at the Civic Centre. (more…)
