Join the Fun & Games at new exhibition
Residents can find out how families kept amused before the days of games consoles and computers with Dartford Borough Museum’s latest exhibition.
‘Fun & Games’ starts on Saturday 8 November displaying a range of retro games and puzzles including card games dating back to the Victorian period, 1930s board games and early versions of family favourites such as ludo and snakes and ladders.
Cllr Patsy Thurlow, portfolio holder for the Museum, says,
“We all remember playing games and puzzles in our childhood and some of the exhibits will certainly provide a trip down memory lane. Many of the games on display are still enjoyed by families today and it will be interesting to see the changes made to the games through the years.”
The current exhibition, ‘Snapshots of a Century’ will close on Saturday 1 November. ‘Fun & Games runs from Saturday 8 November to Saturday 21 March.
The museum is open on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday 10am – 2pm and 3pm – 5.30pm and Saturday 9am – 1pm and 2pm - 5pm.
