The Reg Stapley Community Safety Awards
2009 saw 18 nominations from the Dartford community for the Reg Stapley Community Safety Awards. The Mayor of Dartford, Cllr. Jennifer Rickwood presented the awards at a ceremony held at the Council’s Civic Centre on Thursday 28th January 2010 and attended by friends and families of the nominees.
Nominations included community wardens and ordinary members of the public alongside Police Community Safety Officers. The winner of the Reg Stapley Silver Cup for 2009 was Jennifer Tremaine from Dartford who, together with others in her community has been closely involved in improving her local area. One of the highlights included securing significant funding from Marks & Spencer to create a play park at Sutton at Hone, enabling local children to play more safely.
All nominees receive a signed certificate and Jennifer Tremaine will keep the Reg Stapley Silver Cup for a period of one year.
