Blue BadgeBlue Badge clock

Please ensure that your disabled badge is displayed with the side showing the wheel-chair user symbol and expiry date, as shown above. Please set your clock for time of arrival.

YOU MUST NOT ALLOW OTHER PEOPLE TO USE YOUR DISABLED BADGE. IF YOU ARE A CARER OR A RELATIVE OF A DISABLED PERSON YOU CAN ONLY USE THE BADGE AND CLOCK IF THE DISABLED PERSON IS WITH YOU.

In Dartford disabled badge holders are allowed three hours free parking (in accordance with local signs and the regulations as specified in the Blue Badge Scheme book) providing their badge and clock are clearly and correctly displayed (as shown above) on top of the dashboard or facia panel of a vehicle facing forward so that the expiry date is legible from outside of the vehicle when using the parking benefits.

ALWAYS check the road markings and time plate before leaving your vehicle this is to ensure you have parked in an area which allows disabled parking.

If you park your vehicle in a short stay bay i.e. MAX STAY 2 HOURS, NO RETURN WITHIN 1 HOUR and the sign/plate does not mention disabled badge holders then you must adhere to the time specified on the plate, you would not be allowed to park there for three hours using your badge.

YELLOW LINES

Disabled badge holders are allowed to park on a single or double yellow line for up to 3 hours providing the badge and clock are clearly and correctly displayed, providing they are not dangerously parked or causing an obstruction and providing there are no loading restrictions indicated by one or two yellow marks on the kerb at the times shown on post mounted plates.

FREE ON-STREET PARKING BAYS MAINTAINED BY DARTFORD BOROUGH COUNCIL

There are a number of free on-street parking bays around the Borough, usually these bays are for short stay parking only, therefore you must check the time-plate before leaving your vehicle as this will indicate when the restriction is in force, the maximum length of time that you are allowed to stay and the time period of no return.

Disabled Badge Holders are NOT entitled to park for three hours in any of these bays, they must adhere to the time specified on the plate
