Performance Indicators and the Annual Performance Plan
The collection of Performance Indicators is an important way of assessing how well the Council is delivering services. The government requires local authorities to set targets and collect a range of indicators that monitor service performance.
These include indicators that measure the satisfaction of customers, how much a service costs or how complete a service is.
These performance indicators form the central part of the Council's Annual Performance Plan which includes an assessment of the Council's performance for the previous year, what it intends to do in the following year and how it intends to improve.
