Dartford is home to a wide variety of sports and boasts some of the best sporting facilities in the south east.
Recently the Council opened two of the Country's most signifciant new sports venues - an Olympic standard Judo Centre and an eco-friendly sustainable home for Dartford Football Club.
The Olympic training standard judo centre at Stone Lodge is a state-of-the-art centre - and one of the most impressive judo facilities outside Japan.The centre will play a key role in the build up to both Beijing 2008 and London 2012.
The Princes Park Stadium has taken the town by storm since opening in November 2006. A capacity crowd of 4097 saw the Darts return home after 14 years away and attendances stayed very high for the rest of their fist season at home.
