BEAUTY AND THE BEAST ON ICE
The Russian Ice Stars return in their new spectacular production of Beauty and the Beast on Ice staring the world’s tallest professional ice skater Andrey Chuvilyaev.
Andrey, fresh out of the 2006 Russian Olympic team stands over 2 meters in his bare feet and plays the part of the cursed prince. Towering above the rest of the company Andrey performs the world’s highest lifts with Beauty performed by Olga Pershankova.
Olga, who competed at both European and World championship level before joining the world renowned troupe of skaters in 1995, plays the part of Beauty in her final role after playing parts as diverse as Carmen, Carabosse, Cinderella and Snow White.
Expertly choreographed by Cavaliere Giuseppe Arena, who staged the opening ceremony of the 2006 Winter Olympics in Turin and has the Italian equivalent of a knighthood bestowed on him for his services to dance.
