Neighbourhood agreements

Together with local residents we've have developed two neighbourhood agreements. The Gunn Road Area Agreement in Swanscombe and Alamein Neighbourhood Agreement, both of which set out the standard of service the Council provides for the people living here.

Consultation took place with residents in both areas to firstly identify interest and expectations from the Council.

The feedback identified a need for the neighbourhood agreements to make the process formal and to be reviewed by residents over time. Local priorities to be addressed and partners were identified to tackle their priorities.

After the successful launch of the agreements, we are looking to set up agreements in other areas in the borough and we are asking that residents to contact us to get the ball rolling.

You can do this by contacting the resident involvement officer online: Contact the R.I.O Team or calling 01322 343682.

What is a Neighbourhood Agreement?

A Neighbourhood Agreement is an agreement between Dartford Borough Council and Residents. It sets out the standard of service the Council will provide for the area and the commitment of the residents to help maintain the neighbourhood and build up good working relationships to improve the quality of life for everyone living and working in the area.

Residents can also request that other service providers be included in the agreement. Reviews will be carried out by residents to ensure that it remains relevant and reflects changing practices and expectations.
