Where is the Dartford Festival?

Dartford Festival takes place in the fabulous Central Park, Dartford, with its formal gardens and green open space.

What are the dates and opening times of the Festival?

Saturday 14th July and Sunday 15th July 2018. The gates to the Festival open 11am and close 7pm on Saturday and open 10:30am and close 6pm on Sunday.

Do I need a ticket?

Dartford Festival is a free non ticketed event. Just turn up on the day. Please read the Dartford Festival Admission Policy PDF, 406.99 KB

How do I get there? Is there parking?

Is there a running order or programme? Do I have to pay for it?

Yes, visit our line up page for the running order. A free programme covering both days will be available at outlets in the town centre in the week leading up to the Festival, online and at the entrances to the Festival site.

Are there facilities and parking for disabled people?

Yes, the Festival organisers are working closely with Attitude is Everything to help ensure the event is as accessible to disabled visitors as possible. For more information, visit our access info page.

Is the Festival suitable for children?

Yes, the Festival is a family fun weekend and children of all ages are welcome.

We recommend you collect a free Safer Dartford wristband, which are available at the Festival entrances, Town Tent and Information Point. The wristband has space for you to write the parents/guardians name and phone number on the inside.

If you are attending with family and friends, pick an agreed meeting point preferably away from the crowds and stick to it in case you become separated. If you lose a child, report it immediately to a Festival steward.

Can I bring my dog?

No, due to the large number of visitors, with the exception of recognised assistance dogs, no animals are allowed on site.

Are there toilet facilities?

Yes, there are toilet facilities, which also include accessible toilets and baby change.

Can I make card payments at the Festival and are there any cash machines on the site?

Unfortunately, there are no cash machines on site but the main bars will be able to take card payments and offer cash back of up to £50.

Are there any camping facilities at the Festival?

No, there are no camping facilities.

Can I bring chairs, blankets and gazebos into the Festival site?

Fold up chairs and blankets are permitted. Gazebos and large parasol type umbrellas are not as they restrict other Festival goers' views.

Can I bring a picnic?

Yes, you are welcome to bring a picnic lunch; alternatively, we have a wide range of bars and catering units around the Festival site. For more information, visit our Dartfood and Drink Courts page.

Can I bring alcohol?

Yes, you will be permitted to bring into the Festival site a reasonable amount of alcohol for personal consumption; however, to ensure that the Dartford Festival stays a safe family event, no glass will be permitted to be brought on site. Any person found in possession with any of these items will be asked to dispose of them on entry or they will be confiscated by a member of the security team.

Where can I find lost property?

You can report lost property to the Information Point located on the Festival site. If you find lost property be a good Festival visitor and drop it off at the Information Point.

After the Festival, property will be stored at Dartford Borough Council, Civic Centre, and held for 21 days before being disposed of. You can contact the Festival Team to make an enquiry regarding lost property.

Will there be strobe lighting?

Due to the nature of the event there will be flashing lights on all stages and strobe or laser effects may also be used. There will be no specific announcements prior to the use.
