Dartford Borough Museum

What are we?

Image of museumDartford Borough Museum is a free resource provided by Dartford Borough Council for the benefit of both residents of the borough and visitors from further afield.

Anyone who wants to know more about the Borough of Dartford should visit us, whether they are new to the area or have lived here for all of their life. The Museum is quite small but is packed with objects and information relating to the story of Dartford.

Where are we?

The Museum is located in Market Street in the same building as Dartford Library at the entrance to Central Park.

When are we open?

Dartford Borough Museum is open from 8.30am until 5.30pm on weekdays and from 9.00am until 5.00pm on Saturdays. In addition to the main Museum entrance, access is also available via Dartford Library which has an accessible ramp entrance. At certain times, when the main Museum doors are closed, access to the Museum is still available via Dartford Library.

Please note that the Curator is not always on the premises and so it is best to contact him in advance if you wish to speak to him in person.
