We've built bridges
The bridges are here!
We've started work on the next exciting stage of restoring the park. Another big step to creating our Edwardian vision for Central Park has now been delivered, with the arrival and installation of the two iron bridges. They are now in place and span the River Darent, linking the former GlaxoSmithKline-owned parkland at Acacia with Central Park.
The bridges provide a vital link in creating the new Central Park entrance at Darenth Road, making access to the park easier and far more attractive. The bridges are a real boost to generations of Central Park users for years to come.
