Join youth clubs and groups
Getting your kids involved in local youth clubs and groups is a cool way for them to meet new friends, take part in fun activities and socialise after school.
Dartford Youth Hub – The Bridge 4 Young People is where young people aged 8 to 19 come to meet friends, hang out, with lots of things going on. They can also drop in and meet local advisors if they need some advice and support – 0300 042 0691.
Temple Hill Youth Centre is open on Mondays and Tuesdays in term time. They run various fun activities and a summer scheme. Young people from the age of 8 are welcome – 01322 386828.
Stone Parish Youth Service provides a weekly youth club at Stone Pavilion where local 11 to 17 year old's can enjoy events, activities, advice and support, and a safe environment to socialise.
Dartford Youth Council (DYC) is a non-political body of young people aged 12 to 18 years elected from the schools and voluntary youth groups in Dartford. They aim to provide a means of two-way communication between Dartford Borough Council and the young people who live, work and go to school in the borough. They focus on issues affecting young people around the borough – such as school transport and mental health.
Dartford Division Girlguiding covers Dartford, Wilmington, Greenhithe, Bean and Swanley. Girls can join the Rainbows (ages 5 to 7), Brownies (ages 7 to 10), Guides (ages 10 to 14) and The Senior Section (ages 14 to 25).
Dartford District Scouts has groups across Dartford. Children and young people can join Beavers (ages 6 to 8), Cubs (ages 8 to 10 ½), Scouts (ages 10 ½ to 14) and Explorers (ages 14 to 18).
Dartford and Crayford Sea Cadets is a club where you can go to sea, learn to sail and do adventure training, plus get extra skills to give you a great head start in life.
Dartford Army Cadet Centre welcomes boys and girls (aged over 12 and in at least year eight at school) of all abilities and backgrounds.
