For the first time in more than 70 years, the world witnessed the crowning of a new Great British monarch.

His Majesty King Charles III's coronation took place on Saturday May 6th, with May 8th a national Bank Holiday.

Dartford Borough Council encouraged local communities to arrange their own great events and celebrate with their neighbours over the historic weekend, providing grants of £100 and £500 to support street parties and larger events.

If I Were King / Queen Children's Art Exhibition

Dartford Borough Council is inviting local children to take part in this year’s Exhibition at the Sir Peter Blake Gallery, Dartford.

The Exhibition offers children who enjoy art an exciting new opportunity to see their creations on display in a public gallery. We were overwhelmed by the enthusiasm the children showed in their artwork for the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee and we are keen to make this year’s exhibition even bigger and better than before!

Please do encourage children to enter; they can see their work displayed and collect a certificate too!
