Members of the public are always welcome to bring in any objects which they would like to have identified. Members of staff are often able to provide a verbal identification on the spot but objects can also be left at the Museum for more detailed identifications or when staff need to seek advice from other museums. Please note that no valuations can be given by Museum staff.
Dartford Borough Museum also welcomes metal detectorists who would like to have their finds identified. Detectorists may find the website of the Portable Antiquities Scheme to be of interest to them. It can be found at www.finds.org.uk
