Caring for our community:
Dartford Borough Council is working to support local families, voluntary groups and businesses through these challenging days so it’s great to see how many wonderful townsfolk have stepped forward to help in and around their own communities.
Thousands of small acts of kindness are happening around our Borough every day and together, they demonstrate the strength and resilience of our town.
Working together as a community is one of the keys to success so we have created Dartford Together to bring together reliable information and support from us and our trusted community partners.
Please follow us on Facebook at Dartford Together.
We’d like to thank everyone that has volunteered to help in Dartford and those NHS volunteers that are kindly providing assistance to our most vulnerable residents.
Please see our list of local charities that continue to offer support.
The government has published guidance, Coronavirus: How to help safely, to enable people across the UK people to safely provide essential support to their friends and family who are in isolation.
If you are in need of urgent food support please contact the Council’s Emergency Hub on 01322 343244 during normal office hours
OR
Kent Together (0300 041 9292) out of hours.
We are working in partnership with the Healthy Living Centre to support those in emergency food need.
Please see here for Food support or Residents' support contacts and information that may be able to help during this crisis.
Finally, whilst almost the ENTIRE Borough is pulling together to help each other and do the right thing, we’re sorry to say that a handful of people see this situation as an opportunity for crime.
Don't get scammed:
Scammers and criminals are already looking for opportunities to scam people as a result of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. Happily, there are many more stories of kindness and generosity but we want to make people aware of the scams as they emerge - which they seem to be on a daily basis.
Please keep yourself safe:
For full details of the known scams operating as a result of COVID-19 please visit the KCC scams and guidance page.
