Dartford's Performance
Performance Management is about agreeing objectives, monitoring performance against targets, identifying opportunities for improvement and making the necessary changes to ensure that we are delivering quality public services.

Dartford 's Corporate Performance Structure
There is a small corporate team which is responsible for Performance Management Framework, Risk, and Procurement.
The main areas of responsibility with regard to performanceare:
- Performance Management - the Council operates within an agreed Performance Management Framework which links the overall Corporate Plan and medium term financial strategy; which in turn links to Service Plans and individual appraisals. The Council has also introduced a web based Performance Management System called Covalent, managed by the Performance team.
- Performance Indicators - the team is the central hub in the collection and reporting of performance information, both internally to corporate management and Members and externally to the Audit Commission.
- Annual Performance Plan and Summary - each year the team annually collates and publishes performance related information, including performance indicators. The plan is published at the end of June each year and submitted for external audit.
