Analysis of demand for construction skills provision in Ebbsfleet Garden City and Dartford
In 2025 Dartford Borough Council and Ebbsfleet Development Corporation commissioned research, analysis, economic and social development consultants SQW to produce a local skills report and SECTEC research into demand for construction skills provision at Ebbsfleet and Dartford.
The report focuses on skills shortages in the built environment sector, both locally and nationally, and the potential for an additional construction skills training centre to address local gaps in the industry.

Bring Back Eurostar Campaign
We've continued to campaign for the return of Eurostar services to Ebbsfleet and are in regular dialogue with Eurostar and the government.
We'll continue to work with partners, including Kent County Council, Kent Invicta Chamber of Commerce, Visit Kent, Locate in Kent, neighbouring councils, and local MPs to ensure services at Ebbsfleet International Station return.
