IF YOU FIND A STRAY DOG:
- If the owner is identifiable from the collar and tag, return the dog to them
- If you can’t find the owner please contact Dartford Civic Centre on 01322 343434 and we will ask you to take the dog to our holding kennels
- During working hours, it may be possible for an Animal Control Officer to collect the dog but if the Animal Control Officer is unavailable, or your call is out of hours, you will be asked to hold on to the dog until the next working day or to take the dog to Dartford Borough Council's holding kennels
- Report it online now
Stray dogs will be held for 7 days after which, if the dog is not claimed then it will be transferred to a re-homing charity selected by Dartford Borough Council.
