We welcome Gemini Train's and Uber's interest in running cross-Channel train services via Ebbsfleet International.
Leader of the Council Jeremy Kite said: “We’ve been working hard to restore international services to Ebbsfleet so it’s really exciting to see such big interest building.
“Kent is the gateway to Europe, it makes little to no sense to make passengers from the county and wider south east commute all the way to north London to get back to the continent. Ebbsfleet International’s Eurostar platforms have stood empty for far too long, it’s great to see this interest after our recent campaign to get services back up and running.
“As well as making holiday and business travel easier, Ebbsfleet International was designed to support key infrastructure like Ebbsfleet Garden City, Crossrail, Bluewater and the wider Thames Estuary. We welcome this interest and are happy to support any potential operators.”
