Current Opportunities and Registering an Expression of Interest
Dartford Borough Council’s opportunities valued over £50,000 are advertised on the Kent Business Portal website. The Council may also choose to advertise opportunities valued under £50,000, dependent on the type of procurement.
Viewing Opportunities
To view Dartford Borough Council’s opportunities select ‘Search Opportunities’ from the right-hand side of the Kent Business Portal homepage. Type “Dartford” in the ‘Keywords’ field and ensure the ‘Start Date’ and ‘End Date’ cover the dates you are searching for. Then click on the ‘Search’ button.
It is also possible to view Dartford Borough Council’s opportunities via the Government’s Find a Tender webpage. However, to express an interest in an opportunity and receive tender documentation, you must be registered on the Kent Business Portal.
Portal Registration
To register your company on the Kent Business Portal select ‘Register’ from the top right-hand corner of the Kent Business Portal homepage. Registration and use of the Kent Business Portal is free of charge. There is a wizard guide that will navigate you through the setup process. You will then be issued with a username and password via email. Once registered on the Kent Business Portal, you will be sent an email every time a new opportunity is posted by Dartford Borough Council that matches a category you registered against. The email will contain a link which will take you directly to the opportunity.
Expressing an Interest in an Opportunity
To express an interest in an opportunity, view the project on the Kent Business Portal website by clicking on the ‘View’ button and click on ‘Respond’. Click on the ‘Register Interest’ button and follow the on-screen instructions.
You will receive an email notifying you that you have successfully expressed an interest. If you do not receive this email, please go back to the opportunity on the portal and try again. The opportunity will show if you have already expressed an interest once logged into the portal.
Dartford Borough Council uses an electronic tendering system, Delta eSourcing, for the issue and receipt of tender documents. Registration on the Kent Business Portal gives businesses free access to this system. You can view details of the electronic tender and quotation process in the Electronic Procurement section on the Council’s website.
