Translation and interpreting:

Dartford Borough Council is keen to ensure that customers can receive and understand any information provided to them.

We can provide Council information translated into your preferred language and in alternative formats including large print, Braille and audio tape.

To make sure that our customers have fair access to high quality services we also seek to provide interpreting support where there is a face-to-face interaction between the Council and a customer. The standards we have adopted for operating this service are:

  • We will not use children as interpreters
  • We will only use adult family members and friends where the customer makes this preference, after being offered the option of professional interpreting support
