The information provided on this form will be used to assess this Sanctuary Scheme referral. Please refer to our Privacy Notices for further details on how the Council collects personal information to administer its homelessness services:
The following criteria must be met before sanctuary measures are approved:
- The individual being referred is aged 16 or over and is a victim/survivor of domestic abuse.
- If renting privately or through a housing association, the landlord agrees to the works.
- The victim/survivor must live in the Dartford borough.
- The victim/survivor must have the right to occupy the property as either a sole owner or tenant.
- The perpetrator must not be living in the accommodation (does not freely enter or exit the property at any time during the day or night and does not stay overnight).
- The perpetrator does not have legal access to the property (for example, is on the tenancy or mortgage agreement).
- The victim/survivor must agree to the works.
- The victim/survivor must intend to remain in their present accommodation for the foreseeable future.
- It is considered safe for the victim/survivor to remain living in the property with the security measures.
- Without the work, the victim/survivor would likely to become homeless.
