Consultations

It may sound obvious but we think that those who know most about how to improve a service are those that actually use it. That is why we put consultation so high in our mission to improve services.

If we have an accurate picture of the needs and wants of people in the Borough we can tailor our services to meet the needs of the community.

The Council also has to consult with local people on a number of specific things such as planning applications, plus certain plans and strategies.

Consultation and Engagement Strategy

The Council has a strategy which sets out the principles and standards which it will adhere to in terms of involving local people in the design and delivery of services.

Public Spaces Protection Order Consultation

Dartford Borough Council is consulting on a proposed Public Spaces Protection Order on an area of Dartford known as Dartford Town Centre. The area takes in the main retail part of the town, along with the Central Park Area. This will allow the Council to introduce a range of measures to address anti-social behaviour issues and help improve public spaces in this area. Read the background information and complete the consultation questionnaire. The closing date for the consultation is Monday 5 June 2017.
