Our response target

The Environmental Protection Team has a 5 working day response target for all complaints.  However we will try to contact you sooner, subject to officer availability and workload priorities.

Normal Hours of Service

During normal weekdays the Environmental Protection Team operate Monday to Friday 09:00 to 17:15.  Programmed visits by investigating officers may take place outside of these hours by appointment if considered appropriate.

Out of Hours Service

The Environmental Protection Team operate a limited out of hours service during the following times:

  • Friday and Saturday 18.00 to 00.00

The Council's Out of Hours Service can be contacted on 01322 343434 (please note Environmental Protection do not charge for calls to our service).

The Out of Hours Service primarily deals with urgent Environmental Protection enquiries and on going nuisance incidents/ complaints currently under investigation by officers within the team.

If you are suffering a noise nuisance, outside of these hours, you can download the Noise App.

Download the app from Noiseapp or search online at Google Play or the Apple App Store.  Create your account and choose the service provider Dartford and Sevenoaks EH to investigate your noise complaints.  Once you have made a recording, you still need to call the council the next working day to log your complaint, so that your recording can be unblocked.
