- Trooper Albert Chapman, 10th Royal Hussars, Royal Armoured Corps. Lived at 5 Old Rectory Estate, Sutton-at-Hone. Died 29.5.42, aged 28, killed in action in Libya. Commemorated on the Alamein Memorial, Egypt, and on the Sutton-at-Hone War Memorial.
