Introduction
Flying Officer Stanley Webb Cressey, Royal Air Force. Lived in Upper Ferntree Gully, Victoria, Australia, having spent 20 years in Hong Kong, but his parents lived at The Bower, Gore Road, Darenth. As a child he had lived with them at 7 Milestone Road, Dartford, and 2 Asylum Cottages, Darenth. Died 11.7.45, aged 47, while a Japanese prisoner of war on Borneo, possibly during one of the Sandakan death marches. Commemorated on the Singapore Memorial.
