- Corporal Donald William Doe, 4th Battalion, Wiltshire Regiment. Worked in Eltham but he had attended York Road School and parents lived at 224 St Vincent’s Road, Dartford, in 1939 and at 17 Junction Road, Dartford, in 1944. Died 28.11.44, aged 25, killed in action in the Netherlands. Buried in Brunssum War Cemetery, Netherlands.
