Introduction: Aircraftman 1st Class William Ablett, Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve. Lived at 34 Hallford Way, Dartford. Died 1.2.43, aged 32, while a Japanese prisoner of war in Sumatra. Commemorated on the Singapore Memorial.
