- Wing Commander John Lionel Fowke, Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve. Lived in Tunbridge Wells but had grown up at 14 Milestone Road, Dartford, and had attended Dartford Grammar School 1920-26. Died 1.10.45, aged 36, from tropical disease. Buried in Tunbridge Wells Cemetery and commemorated on the Dartford Grammar School In Memoriam Panel.
