- Major Alfred Charles (‘John’) Greene, MB BS, Indian Medical Service. He had worked in Dartford at the Livingstone Hospital and the County (West Hill) Hospital where he had been involved in rescue work following the bombing of 6.9.40. Died 17.8.45, aged 31, of polio. Buried in Madras War Cemetery, Chennai, India.
