- Sergeant (Pilot) Albert Douglas Hammond, 7 (C) Operational Training Unit, Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve. His parents lived in Sidcup but he attended Dartford Grammar School 1925-28. Died 3.1.43, aged 29, when his Wellington bomber was involved in an accident in Northern Ireland. Buried in Sidcup Cemetery and commemorated on the Dartford Grammar School In Memoriam Panel.
