- Private Stanley John Hanks, 5th Battalion, Queen’s Own Royal West Kent Regiment. He had grown up in Dartford and his parents still lived at 55 Lawson Villas, Priory Road. Died 27.5.40, aged 19, killed in action. Commemorated on Dunkirk Memorial, France. Brother of William Major Hanks who died 26.5.40-4.6.40.
